None Yankees slugger Aaron Judge undecided on Home Run Derby

on Wed Jun 21, 2017 10:54 am
Right fielder Aaron Judge’s first full season with the New York Yankees has been a successful one thus far, as he’s hitting .333 with 24 home runs and 54 runs batted in on a team that currently leads the AL East. Combining his numbers with the fact that he’s currently the American League leader in All-Star Game votes, Judge is well on his way to making his first appearance in the Midsummer Classic in Miami next month.

With that comes questions about the Home Run Derby, and on Tuesday, he said that he’s yet to make a decision according to ESPN.com. Judge received the invitation by way of his agent last week, with the Home Run Derby scheduled for July 11 and the All-Star Game the following night.

“I’m going to think about it for a while,” Judge said according to ESPN.com. “Just haven’t honestly thought about. I’m more focused on what I can do for the team right now, and we’ll see what I decide to do.”
