The Bryce Harper sweepstakes won't begin in earnest until the 2018 season comes to an end.
With over a full year until that day arrives, speculation on Harper's eventual date with the open market has reached a fever pitch.
From Vegas oddsmakers installing the Yankees and Phillies as favorites to talk of a $400M or $500M deal to whispers of the defending World Series champion Cubs being in the mix, the rumor mill continues to spin.
Now the latest: One unnamed American League general manager would be willing to give Harper the most eye-opening deal in sports history: 15 years and $600M.
